GONRA unscrewed and removed the 8x1mm threaded
(threads waaay undersized!) reduced shank butt stock screw
from my 14.5mm PTRS-41 Soviet antitank rifle.
BUT cannot pull out the !@#$%^&*() wood buttstock from the receiver!!!
(Buttstock is real loose. Wanna get it removed and reinstalled TIGHT
before shootin' from the shoulder instead of sandbags.)
Younger son (BIG "works out" type humanoid)
and I tied one end of a rope around a tree,
other end to butt stock, yanked receiver like crazy.
Buttstock never really budged.
To me, wouldn't make sense to dehead and remove the horizontal cross rivet
in the receiver's butt stock socket.
Anybody our there ever remove a PTRS-41 butt stock? HELP!
THANX in advance...
