Yep, that's what is so great about these forums...you can get information from lots of people with different experiences and use that information along with your own knowledge to (in this case) pick a type of ammunition that you'll have confidence in....;)

I spent a lot of time chasing the "magic" bullet :banghead: - just knowing that one of them would be the ONE...sigh...seems that all you read in magazines and ads can't be depended on in the real world ... in the end I determined that the most important things in ammunition are the same that they always have been! .. that it be: a) functional, b) accurate, and c) powerful enough for it's purpose .... if it meets those criteria, then anything else, like an expanded hollowpoint, is just a perk.

Searching back in history from people that have first hand knowledge of what has actually worked, not just the magazine experts opinions, is priceless...

In the end, the thing that will mean the most is your ability to shoot what you pick accurately....after that, it's in the Man upstair's hands...can I have an Amen ?? !!:)

AMEN. A LOT of gunslingers have been killed with slow moving lead round nosed bullets. It isn't the best choice today, but it does show that bullet placement and hitting the target are foremost. Your choice of ammo is of secondary concern. Honestly I carry UMC 115gr JHP in my Keltec. It is the round I practice with. The HP seems to perform well. And my KT is accurate with it. Good enough for me.
