15 round 1911 mags

i found some o n a website. but i thought i read somthing about 1911s not wanting to feed from them. anyone have experience with these?

Depends on the mags. A friend has several, and a couple of them will feed, a couple more will not.

They are usually nothing but trouble and headaches. Save your money.

I have one that was $6, it has never worked. I have taken a dremel to the follower to make it smoother, I have tried reshaping the feed lips. But the spring still feels too weak, it normally lets the rounds get jammed in the mag body. Bleh.

I've heard the same things, though it'd be neat if someone made a +10 rd magazine for 1911s that WORKED.

so is it just a spring thing that these dont work? maybe you could have better springs made.

I bought one through sportsman guide. I should have spend my $20 on another good 10rd Wilson Buearocrat. This 15 rounder didn't feed reliably and plus they are just too impractical.
