I'm verry proud to see our youth in supporting our constitution, let alone what it stands for.
I could watch that video over and over but at least I'm sharing.
I want everyone in the united states to watch this video so they can get an understanding of how the constitution needs suported for everyone's freedoms.

Unfortunately, for every one of her, there are a thousand kids who will randomly sign a petition on the street without even knowing what it means.

As much as we all like and believe what she said, and she is no doubt a mature girl and good public speaker, most of what she gave as a speech was a summary of other pro-gun commentary, and not originated by the speaker. Most politicians or anti-gunners are used to the impassioned pro-gun speeches out there, and quickly tune them out, or hear a "yada-yada" in their head right after they start listening. Also, most anti's could care less if she lost her shooting related scholarships; to them, that would be a small sacrifice to make us all safer from ourselves. It is a crying shame that the opposition COULD or WOULD dismiss her so easily, but that is the reality of this fight: they AREN'T going to listen, they AREN'T going away, and any attempt at REASONING be damned. Does anyone know of a single instance of late where truth and reason have brought a high profile "anti" over to our side?

Ha, and millions of college-educated adults, for that matter! Most of us probably know by now how easy it is to get people to sign a petition for banning the deadly substance Dihydrogen Monoxide, more commonly known as H2O or water--that's how unthinking a great many people are. :uhoh:

I'll have you know that there are more accidental deaths from dihyrdogen monoxide each year than from guns.

Not to mention the billions in property damage, and the environmental impact that is caused by this destructive substance.

Look for the video of a petition going around to ban dihydrogen oxide. Just because it is a petition, doesn't make it a logical argument.

And here I was thinking you fell in love with a 15 year old firearm and gave it a feminine pronoun. Must own quiet a few trench coats.

There are a lot of younger people out there with passions. Since the only venue they tend to be welcome to express those passions is the school system(s) the only young people you hear are those spouting the party line.

When I was 14 I organized an event that had farmers donate the strip of land in fields called end rows then had my church youth group come out to plant & care for potato plants that when harvested were donated to soup kitchens and food pantries. Outside the annual meeting of the Co-op that donated the seed potatoes nobody noticed.

I suppose a true perv would only see 20 or 30 thirteen and fourteen year olds digging in the dirt in shorts & t-shirts. The various priests from the CYO's involved saw it as our service to Christ. My grandfather and some other ancients saw it as an opportunity to share their knowledge of plant life, soil types and the general skills of rural life to city kids. My friends and I saw it as kind of a party with the satisfaction of knowing we were helping people.
