A friend of mine's roommate wants to get rid of her Bersa .380.

It's basically NIB, fired twice only.

It's the two-tone version.

I offered her $150 cash for it.

Is that a fair price? I don't want to rip her off, but I can't imagine a dealer would offer her any more than that...

thanks,
Dorrin

Around here she'd be lucky to get $100.00 on a trade in. I usually figure 90% of retail or wholesale plus a few $$ when I offer money for a firearm.

does anyone know what they go for new, generally? I've never seen them in gun stores around here - GunBroker.com seems to have them in the $200-220 range NIB.

Al - gun shops here are much the same, I imagine.

Saw several at a gun show today in the $200 - $210 range new. Don't recall the finish type (looked at a lot of guns).

Around here they go for $220-270 (depending upon the store and finish). I think (here) $220-250 would be a good new price for them. Used people always take a hit so I think $150 is probably fair. If you know the person I might consider going a little higher simply to keep things more pleasant (what is an extra $20-25 to keep a friend or friend of a friend happy).

Could try Guns America and compare prices. Seems like the Bersas and FireStorm .380s are going for low $200s NIB. IMO, if the gun is as you described and the amount of usage is to be believed and you value the seller, I would give her at least $175 for it.
