17/222 2400?

I know that the 17/222 is a rare cartridge. But has anyone ever heard of a load using 2400 powder. any size bullet.

the 218 bee uses, i think 18 grains, i'm not sure. i would have to look it up. even though the bee is quite a bit smaller than the 222 case it shoots a heavier bullet.

Unless someone knows something about this being a bad idea. I may try to build a load to see what it does. I was told it is supposed to increase the velocity to the 6000????? mark but i dont know about the pressure. i would like to try it but dont wont to hurt me or the gun.

17/222- 6000 fps! YIKES!

Jacob, the 2400 is a little too fast. Also, expect 4000 fps, NOT 6000!

i thought that it sounded very far fetched. i can get 4000 with win 760.
i was told that it was done but wanted to try and verify it but am a little scared of it i guess.

You might be able to get 6000fps.....one time, as the shrapnel spreads from the action.
