Just ordered 500 of these from RMR and was wondering how you all load them.

I have 2lbs of BLC-2 and H-335 which one of those powders would work best you think?

Rifle
DPMS G2 Recon 16" barrel 1:10 twist

I think there's some load data for the H335 I know. I load for a bolt rifle so I'm probably not going to be much help for a AR style rifle.

I use IMR 4895, 2000-MR

BTW, what did those 500 run you?

General beliefs are H335 is for the 5.56mm NATO and BL-C(2) for it's bigger brother cartridge, the 7.62mm NATO.

When loading .308 ammo for a bolt action rifle I feel there is nothing better than IMR4064 but for semi-auto ammo I like BL-C(2) best. (WC-846)

BTW, why so heavy on the bullets?

I found them cheap. I really wanted 150 grain bullets but I got these for 130 plus tax delivered for 500 of them.

Wow that's cheap!! I use IMR 4064, 4320 and 8208xbr for those. Haven't had any blc to try but I know a lot of guys have had good results with it.

Well I am still waiting on the rifle so I have time to get all my once fired brass prepped.

Not sure why it takes so long to send out a rifle, but same day or next day on accessories. But I do know I hate waiting. The anticipation is killing me. I have been waiting to get this rifle for almost 5 years. Once the bullets show up next week I will have every thing but the rifle.

So am I more likely to find better results at the upper end or lower end with the BLC-2?
I know it's often said but you are going to have to load them up and see what your rifle likes. That really holds true. As with most powders you will usually find 2 sweet spots, usually one near the bottom of the charge range and one just before the top of the charge range.

175 mk

FYI, the USGI M118LR uses this projectile, with LC brass, and RL-15 Powder.

I use this load in my bolt gun.

I have both new ones and pulled ones and can't tell the difference shooting.

If you get the best performance at the low end of the powder charge use a different powder. I'm not a big fan of ball powders, my choices would be Varget, IMR4064 or RL15.

Are they out already?

Wow that was fast, I almost ordered a 1000 but decided to try a 500 count first.

Well I don't know what to think. The post office may have hosed
me. The tracking number showed delivered but when I checked the mail box at 6:00 this evening, there was not a single bullet in sight.

OK, I have to take back all the rotten thoughts I had about the post office. My normal mail lady actually went door to door to find my bullets. So I am a happy guy again. Whoo hoo.

Was it FedEx smart post, where the USPS takes it out for actual delivery to your house? They always psych me out because FedEx's tracking page shows it as delivered when they hand the package off to the USPS, but it doesn't actually get to my house until a couple days later.

No it was sent priority mail. It was the victim of a new mail lady. But our usual one found the package when she went door to door looking for it. She knew what was in there and how hard it would have been to replace them lucky for me.
