Anyone using 185 Gr.DEWC in .44 Rem Mag. cases care to share the light target load data used? Gotta be something better than 240 gr. SWCs for light target loads. Thanks.

185 gr. DEWC

Walkalong, thanks for the response. That's the same bullet I'm using but I'm using Titegroup. I started out with 4.3 gr and loaded up 50 rounds. Can't wait to test them out. Have you used the Penn 185 DEWC long? How have they worked for you and how fast have you loaded them?

I am running them at around 750 FPS in the .44 Spl. Pretty light load.

Titegroup is a hot burning powder (High Nitro content) It will smoke worse than a single base or low Nitro content powder like American Select. (>10%, but <15%)

700X is double base, and smokes a good bit with lead bullets, but can be very accurate. I do not know the Nitro content in 700X.

The bullet shoots quite well.
