any word on the 1873 CATTLEMAN EL PATRÓN from Uberti, sounds nice for a SAA.
Anyone shot one or have anything to say about it.

Ok I guess no one has put their hands on one, I ordered one, So when I have put it thru its paces I will give my opinion.
Never have I had a SAA, Just could not get past that old Colt look and feel. I did feel another model from Uberti that had been worked in the same manner as the el patron at least thats what i was told. IT WAS SWEET. SEE HOW THEY SHOOT

I tend to think it's the bare bones SAA type revolver, but don't know for sure
Not sure what you mean by this, but Cabelas sells the "bare bones" model in this line. It's not even blued (got some kind of bead blasted finish or paint on it).

The Cattleman El Patrón is the 'higher end' model with color case hardening, hand fitted parts and high gloss, to name a few of the differences.

The Uberti Cattleman revolvers do shoot nicely, though, no matter how they look.

nalioth, glad you know about them as I have never heard of the "EL PATRÓN" model of the 1873 Cattlemen. I've seen the Uberti 1873 Cattlemen and it was plain flat black finish with brass triggerguard/backstrap, AKA very bare bones. It sounds like the "EL PATRÓN" is a very much upgraded model of the 1873 Cattlemen. LM

I have a Cattleman Hombre that I enjoy very much; in fact, I unwisely let it go a while back to help pay a medical bill; I went and bought it back (the guy gives good discounts if people want to buy their own stuff back...seems he sees a load of people like me that want their guns back); mine is a plain jane workhorse but it is rugged and reliable
