Hey guys!

There is a pristine (for a rifle that is over 100 years old) SPRINGFIELD model 1884 (trap door) single shot rifle in .45-70 Govt at the Cabelas in Hamburg,Pa It is a little rich for my blood at $795, but it is in fine shape.

Their number is 610-929-7000

They also have nice model 1917's from Smith Corona in .30-06 for around $500!

Thought you guys would want to know...

if i had 800 id jump

im set to inherit one when my cousin passes it was turned into a lamp 50 years ago or more but i looked and its in good shape but will probably stay a lamp

are you sure they have 1917 smith corona,s? i think the smith corona,s were only made during ww-2.eastbank.

If I read it right they were model 1917 in .30-06 made by Smith Corona. I wonder if that was an over stamp from WWII Does anybody know if Smith Corona refurbished any model 1917's say for the National Guard during WWII?

On further reading it looks like the rifle must be a M1903 made by S-C from 1942-1944...
I guess they had tagged it wrong as a M 1917...
