I recently broke out something I'd like to turn into a family heirloom. Its a parker SxS, made in 1888, that sat in a closet my entire life, that was originally owned by my great-grandfather. It was given to my grandfather, then my father, and then me, and has been sitting in the corner of my gun room for a few years, and I'm just now getting around to cleaning it up. Its a mess. Rust everywhere, the stock is broken in half. None of it while it was under my care.

Being damascus, I won't be shooting it, but the elegant looks of the exposed hammers, and the family history, means I'm going to clean it up and hang it on some prominent wall in the house.

I finally got the damn thing field stripped after soaking it overnight in CLP to loosen up the rust and gunk. So I have the barrels and action apart, but there is still the wood of the pistol grip stuck on the action.

I've removed all the screws I can, and nothing else wants to budge, wood or metal. I don't think I can get it further apart without hurting the metal.

What I need most is disassembly instructions, or at least an exploded diagram. I need to get the wood off the metal, and some of the metal pieces apart to get this thing cleaned up.

Mine is identical to this one, serial 551xx: http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=82585531

I've searched google, parkergun.org, and others, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.
