I just bought an EMF 1892 Trapper & was looking for 38/357 ammo & scope or sight recommendations. This is the 16" barrel stainless version, for the range of the gun & intended usage (truck gun/varmit/survival) I may stay with sights.

If you really want to pay for aftermarket sights, these are good for quick acquisition: http://www.xssights.com/store/rifle.html

For accuracy in a practical little gun like that, these have a very good reputation: http://skinnersights.com/index.html

If you really wanted to scope it, a Marlin would have been a far better choice. Bummer they don't make the 1894C in stainless; I like stainless, especially for what you're doing with it.:)

I had read that the EMF sights were not very good, I'm not looking to spend money on something I don't need to improve.

Skinners would need no improvement, and add no bulk or weight.:)

XS sights are great, if you want ghost rings.

I think the tang sight takes away from the simplicity of a sleek Trapper style lever gun, personally.

Seems better suited to a long, heavy Sharps, to me.

But if you want one, the Marble's is sure a good one.
