I'm looking to pick up a 1903A3 Springfield as a shooter. I'd like a source other than gunshows/gunbroker and of course the CMP. A "rebuilt" model with new barrel, stock and parkerizing would be fine in my book, I'm not a historical collector.

I seem to remember a website that sold them as well as M1s, Mausers and even some Civil War era rifles that had been refinished but for the life of me I can't remember the name. As I recall a nicely rebuilt 1903 was about $700.

Any help would be great, thanks,

Nope not MilTech but those look quite nice. Sarco seems to have some decent ones as well.

You want a Remington or Smith Corona 1903a3 because Springfield didn't make any of those.

Want to buy this one for $750. ?

look in pawnshops, used rack at gunshops, auction arms, gunsamerica & gunsinternational.com

i've seen some very nice 03a3's in pawnshops for under $600 & some that i wouldn't give $200 for priced at $800+

James River Armory was the place I was thinking of. Any opinions on rifles from there?
