First gun I shot was a ruger 10/22. Great gun for building confidence/getting used to being around firearms

Mine was too. I wish I would have remembered that when I bought my Remington 597. I have a shot a lot of rounds through it and it's been very unhappy with a lot different ammo. I would have thought a Remington brand rifle would like Remington brand ammunition but that is definitely not the case.
