Hey I need some help finding a .22lr conversion kit for a 1911. I'm looking for one that will lock back after the last round, is relatively reliable, accurate and will accept meprolights. I'm trying to match it to my Kimber Custom TLE II and the Kimber .22lr kits' slide does not lock back after the last round.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Anybody thought of using Advantage Arms mags with the Kimber kit? Would that lock the slide back?
I believe they will, but the SS will eventually batter the slide. Marvel and Kimber mags are made to avoid just that.

You know what I found? I don't mind that the Ciener doesn't lock open. I just treat it like training for clearing malfunctions. (And I have 3 15-rd mags for it.)

I had an AA kit for my Glock, and it was good after it broke in, but the slide lock wasn't very consistent anyway.

i have one of the kimber kit and i like it a lot, it cost me 300 but id say it was worth it. it shoots everything but tends to feed better with the hotter high $ 22lr shells.
when it comes to accuracy though it is great, i normally pick up spent shotgun shell at the range and set them up at 25 and 50 yards and can it both by the 3 or 4 shot.
but the best plus is i can by 22lr for 15 bucks per 500 and shoot for hours and hours
