My Chiappa is not made like a 1911, it merely looks like one. The barrel is fixed to the frame and I may have battered it some with a box of Yellow Jackets. The GSG came in Wednesday.

Is the GSG more true to form? Is it actually steel?
Or at least real aluminum?
I probably couldn’t part with my first gun purchase ever, but I’m looking for another 1911 .22, a nice quality one. But not necessarily a proper frame with a kit. (As I look at the prices now...)
Conversion kit will not work on a 9 mm frame it won't go past the ejector but it will work on a 10 mm frame. I have an AA unit and it runs like a race horse.Thanks. I sent an e-mail to Advantage Arms asking if it'll work with my 9mm Dan Wesson Guardian. I didn't see where their website specified if their kits were for 45's only or not.
