1911 Frame to Slide Fit Problem

Howdy,

I messed up my Les Baer Slide to Frame fit with a handload that erupted on me. They catch and rub at a point close to battery.

Can y'all recommend a gunsmith or two who won't take forever to get it back? I live in North Eastern PA and don't know of any trustworthy Smiths around here.

I'd send it back to Les Baer and let then go over it.

Shouldn't take much longer then anywhere else and it will be done right.

You wouldn't find a more competent 1911 smith.

I would recommend sending it back to les and having it done right, after all they built it. Keep in mind however since you had a case rupture there is a strong possibility that you sprung either the slide, frame, or both. If that is the case, your only option would be to buy a new slide, frame, or complete firearm.
