1911 Grips And Mags?

Bought a new S&W 1911 last night (1st. one) and have a question for the 1911 guy's.

Are the grips and mags of S&W 1911 interchangeable with Colt and other Mfg's? I am looking to buy grips, and found a nice set of grips from a colt, if they fit I would buy them.

Yes, as long as they are both the same grip size. Full size, or Officers size. (1 round shorter)

Welcome to the club! I've got a Springfield Loaded fullsize and I've had good luck with Wilson Combat 47Ds, and Chip McCormick 8 round magazines, and no complaints with the OEM Springfield 7 Round magazines. One thing to watch out for on the grips is if you have an ambidextrous safety you have to get grips that are cut for ambi safeties.
