This is a pretty embarrassing question but, how do you take these darn things apart? They are 10mm Metalforms, if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Howdy Danny,
If they're the Metalforms with the welded base and flat follower, load 2 rounds into the magazine, and insert a suitable rod through the witness hole that goes under the bottom round closely. Shake the rounds out and
see if you can shake the follower loose by holding the magazine upside down and tapping it on a wooden tabletop with a couple sheets of paper
to protect the lips. You may have to worry the follower out.
Hold your hand over the open top and pull the rod out. The spring will hit your hand, but it won't hurt...much
To reassemble, work the spring back in and compress it until you can
load the rounds on top of the spring. Insert the rod again, and shake
the rounds back out. Work the follower in, and let it fall to the spring.
Put the pad of your thumb into the top to keep the follower from slamming
into position and pull the rod out. It won't hurt....much.
Look at the top loop of the spring to make sure it gets under the follower correctly. Adjust if necessary.

Tuner, thanks, but I can't get that to work. It's probably me but I can't figure it out. Will that work with the round follower type mags, as well?

It'll work with the round followers except that with those, you'll have to angle the front of the follower up a little until you can grab it with needle-nosed pliers. It will feel like you're forcing it out, but aside from springing it a little, it won't hurt it. When you put it back in, you'll have to get it in at the same angle it came outwith, and force the front of the follower back into the front of the tube with your thumb. Watch to see that the bottom of the front end of the follower doesn't get hung up on the open front of the tube.
