1911 Magazine Release

Looking for a 1911 magazine release that I don't have to shift my grip on to operate.

I would like one that has a plate that reaches backwards about 1/4"

Anybody make anything like this?

I was considering getting one with the thread and button, then cut a piece of steel stock and drill it to fit in place of the button.
