Prototype clear acrylic 1911 grips.

During WWII GIs made clear grips from plexiglass of downed aircraft and placed a photo under the grips.

Here's my take on this.

Thanks, I kinda thought so, too.

You could put any photo under the grips but you would have to trim the photo to fit.

That is super awesome, thanks for that!

It would also be cool to just leave it blank to see through the frame's hole... depending on magazines used, you could see how many rounds are left(if you lost count of course)

Just a thought... I think the appearance would be enhanced if the photo didn't go all the way to the edge of the grips. Leave some material to frame the image.

This is the art teacher talking...

I'm ordering a set from Dave. He's offering these with features that I prefer, such as coverage of the plunger tube.
The grips offered by the paintball outfit don't have this feature. I don't mind paying a bit more to get what I want.
This is going to be fun. The variety of pictures/art that can be used under these grips should provide for some interesting combo's. Hope folks will take the time to show em' off.
Thanks for putting this out there Dave.

Received my grips from Dave today. Perfect fit and finish. Excellent customer service.
I highly recommend Dave and his product!
Thanks Dave.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

The pistol is a Caspian receiver with a Colt Series 70 slide that I built.
