    Hi guys,

I have been searching for full size 1911 grips with the letters US on them. I have seen them on photos but everywhere I search has the US Army logo or some other customized insignia. Anyone have an idea where I could find these.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    good on you, pappy.
speaking purely as one who put 'US' furniture on my Colt 1911 aquired from a buddy with a Springfield, i appreciate the sentiment.
that being said, his mahogony grips are awfully good-lookin.
but it surely made my "GI" Colt look a lot more "GI".

Hard to see how. The US Army never used grips with a big bold US on them.
