Every now and then, my faith in guns shows is restored. Found a 1955 Winchester 94 today (sn 21855XX). Receiver has the normal finish wear they all show if they are not safe queens - in other words the sides of the receiver have the finish worn to a nice brownish patina. No pitting, just wear. Barrels show some as well but all screws and metal are good with no buggered slots and the wood has a nice worn look to it too. Action is nice and firm feeling as well. no slop at all. Shake it hard and you hear no rattle of any kind. $400 and it was mine.
I am happy.
That is all.
