First Of all, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and may the New Year be better for all of us.
My Christmas Present arrived a few days ago. I invited my aunt Martha to come spend the holiday at my house since my uncle Bill passed away last year. He left me all his weapons and Martha brings one every time she visits. The first visit was a Model 29 44 Magnum and this time she surprised me with a 1958 Mannlicher-Schonauer in 30.06. Now, these guns were never fired, as my uncle bought them just because he liked them. He cleaned and maintained them all and the rifle still has the original grease in the magazine chamber. Have any one of you had an experience with this rifle? It was bought while they were stationed in Paris. He worked for the Sate Dept and every five years they were relocated. The model as far as I can see is the MC with the sports walnut stock.
I have read a little of what is posted now a days, but would like some real experience feedback. Thanks.
