This was my first centerfire gun. I bought it in 1991, with one of the first paychecks from one of my first jobs.
According to simonov.net, the serial number dates this rifle to 1963. The quality is higher than on any other Chinese SKS I've ever seen. It compares well to my Russian and Yugo.
It has great sentimental value. If I were forced by unhappy circumstance to sell all my guns, I would sell this and my East German Makarov last.
