I have a 1970 WW2 commemorative European Theater, never been fired with original letter from Colt Firearms, and brochure explaining the gun, in the Box and I was wondering how much it was worth today, because I'm looking to sell it.

"Commemorates" like this one are usually not worth more, and often not as much, as unadorned models from the same year. Red Wind's closed auction is probably correct as to current value.
