I have a 1970 WW2 commemorative European Theater, never been fired with original letter from Colt Firearms, and brochure explaining the gun, in the Box and I was wondering how much it was worth today, because I'm looking to sell it.

"Commemorates" like this one are usually not worth more, and often not as much, as unadorned models from the same year. Red Wind's closed auction is probably correct as to current value. You will realize the most return from an on-line auction. Most gun stores and pawn shops will give you about 50% of retail value, it that.

That auction closed on May 25,2014, About 28 months ago. I have no idea about its possible upward appreciation.

You are welcome. Gunbroker is the largest online auction site. There are several others.

Just follow the websites instructions on how to enter your firearm into a auction.
