1st Gen Colt Detective Special Pearl Handles value?

This gun is for my brother in law. From what I can tell it's a first gen Colt detective special made in 1933 +. It has pearl handles. Anyone have an idea on how much it's worth? Sorry for the bag picture quality.

Thanks for the reply, that' what I was thinking, but then I came across a bunch on broker and another site that were around 1,200 but I couldn't tell a difference between them and the cheaper ones saw
 
I agree with CPE about checking the stocks (plastic will melt around the red hot hot pin head).

FWIW, I would double check that serial for the date. Colts serial numbering is sometimes confusing.

The pistol shown has post war features and (without seeing the right side of the pistol)
looks more like a model from the mid 50's thru 70's, even discounting the hammer shroud hole.
