I've recently acquired a Glock 19, serial #AHS8**. Is this a 1st Gen.? Last time I owned a Glock, 1st Gen. was all there was. I guess I'm out of the loop with these?
Digging around, I get the impression these are rare? Maybe worth a little more?
I have no use for this, I'm going to sell. Any idea on value?
No box, 2-15rd mags and the rear sight is missing. Other than that it's in good shape. Minimal handleing marks, no real holster wear, needs cleaned though.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks...

Allright, researched a little more. This is 2nd Gen.
I had all the .40's as they became available. Apparently they were 2nd Gen., too. I did not know that, always thought they were 1st.
Still curious about value, if anybody has any insight?

There is a modest demand for 2nd Gen Glocks by people who don't like the 3rd/4th Gen changes. The demand, however, does not seem to be strong enough to drive up prices much, perhaps because such guns are not particularly rare.

I'd say if you G19 is in the shape you describe (missing rear sight) you might get $300-400 for it, depending on your local market.

Thanks, it's a 2nd. That sounds about right for price.
I'll see if I can find a rear sight. Hopefully someone who has put after market sights on but, saved their factory set?
I took it down and cleaned it, it has not been shot much, cleaned up nice.
