1st Gen P99 trigger

Is there any advantages of having the split trigger on early model P99 versus the current trigger that's on there now?

The P99 is a terrific pistol, regardless of which trigger configuration you select. I've got a first generation model myself -- Grade-A stuff.

My friend has a first gen and has never been able to get used to the trigger. I don't like it much either.
