I have a 2003 Extreme VFT Bow. I noticed my string begging to frey where you attach the quick release so I let my friends friend shoot it first. Sure enough he went to draw and the release snapped off and it busted his lip up good! hahaha Exactly what I wanted. Anyways the string is winding off now and I'm going to get a new cable and string. My specs have been scratched off the limb and I'm unable to find what string and cable I need. Could anyone help me out please?

Is the string itself frayed or just the windings? If it is just the windings, any good bow shop would be able to rewind it or you can do it yourself. If the string is frayed DO not shoot it until you get it repaired. If you have never saw what a busted bow can do to you, I would glad to tell you it ain't pretty! I'm still getting fiberglass out of my arms 20 yrs. later.

The string is 89 1/2 and the cable is 36 1/4.Replace both. www.vaportrailarchery.com
