The 2008 Gun Rights Policy Conference will be held in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 26, 27, & 28, 2008. We look forward to seeing you there, so make sure you save the date!

This year we will be hosting the 23rd Annual Gun Rights Policy Conference, where we will discuss topics such as city gun bans, youth violence, "smart" guns, concealed carry, federal legislation, legal actions, gun show regulation, state and local activity. We'll also preview the upcoming Presidential Elections and analyze the U.S. Supreme Court Heller Decision.

Hotel information, last year's archived agenda, and more, is available on the Second Amendment Foundation website.

my only question is, will there be a restriction against carrying during the conference?
Can't say for sure, but I expect SAF would have asked that question before they booked the hall. There was no prohibition at the 2007 GRPC, including when a presidential candidate visited and spoke.

Carry at SAF convention

Last year when I went, many were also doing open carry.

About 60 percent of the audience admitted to carrying, although most were concealed.

My Liberal associates in the SF Bay Area were shocked and concerned for my safety since I was the Pink Pistol spokesperson and that I would be talking in "Bush Country" to a "obviously hostile crowd with guns".

The crowd was not hostile, actually, they were the opposite.

I would encourage those who can go to go. It is a great opporunity to meet and network with others.

I have work issues that I need to resolve, that being said, it is my intend to be in Arizona.

Nikki, unfortunately, I could have taken you to places w/in 30 minutes that would have been very hostile to you. I expect, however, that there are such places w/in 30 minutes of the SF Bay area as well. It was great to have met you there.

Hehe. That was good for a hearty chuckle. Thanks. :D

Sent in my registration

Howdy! I'm really looking forward to this. As a blogger for the Second Amendment, I've been wanting to attend for some time and now it's almost in the neighborhood!

Maybe we can keep this thread going. I'd really like to visit with other bloggers like myself at the conference.
