This will be a sequel to the thread i started last year.

http://http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=502018

So, lets see what you harvested this year.
Same rules apply, any and all game welcome.

Sadly I didn't draw deer tags this year:fire:, so my only big game contribution will be these 2 Antelope, both taken the second day of the season.

Gotta throw in my first Ohio bushy tail for the season.

Dress em and soak em in salt water over night. Then into the crock pot with chopped potatoes, onions, green peppers, carrots, mushrooms, and one bay leaf. Low heat 4 to 6 hours. Mmmmmmmm, good!

Here is my archery elk I got back in September, managed to shoot him at 10 yards. I had a good year but just wasn't able to seal the deal on a few bears and a several nice bucks.

My first kill in 2010 was this bobcat:

I haven't killed a coyote all year, but did call in these two for my buddies. These were first coyotes for both of them:

Coati I shot during deer season this year. Neat critters:

This year's cow elk:

And a shot with my daughter. 8 more years and she can take Hunter's safety! And for the record, "elk" was one of her first words. It went: "mommy", "daddy", then "elk"!

eatbugs thats a brute! looks like a old buck too, might have even gone down hill from what he was at one time, nice !

Wankerjake, that looks like a Henry H001 that your buddy took his yote with or am I just seeing things? This could settle the .22LR for coyotes debate, because that one looks like he thinks .22 was more than enough.

No sir, that's my Marlin 1894 in 45 Colt:cool:

Got another one to add. Went out with my brother-in-law this morning and busted my first coyote of 2010. Shot him at about 15 yards with 3" #4 buck, and it HAMMERED him. I was wondering if I was even gonna get one this year!

Wankerjake, I have to say I was fooled. It's hard to tell when you can't see the loading gate. Good job with those yotes.

This is my wife with here first deer. Shot opening morning Nov.2010, Howa 1500 in a 243 with 80gr. Power Points. It weighed 160lbs. She was so excited she didn't even mind our son and nephew putting blood stripes on her cheeks. DSCN2483.jpg

My big girl got this coon off of a corn bait with her .308 at 100 yards or so. The dogs just thought they needed to be in the picture.

My big girl got this nice boar just at dark with my buddies tricked out AR-10 with can tac lights and all. A tacticool hog swatter.

The girls let me out of the house for a couple of days by myself this year.

The big girl's button buck also taken @ about 100 yards with her .308.

My little girl still has a late season private land only cow elk tag so we'll see what happens she's got until the end of January to fill it. She has claimed my .30-06 as her's and can shoot the pee from a bee with it. So I have high hopes.

Congrats for her, What is that stainless Model 700?<---right?
chambered in?

JD

It is a M-70 Winchester chambered in .308. She shoots a reduced load of a 150 gr SGK at about 2400 FPS.

The rifle started life as a Stainless .243 I rebarreled it with a slightly heavy #5 taper 22" Shillen. And found a doner kids stock that we fit to the barreled action with an 11" LOP.

At it's current weight and with that load the recoil is almost non existent. Kids can shoot this rifle with this load all day long.

She is ready for a full size stock now so I am going to put a synthetic of some kind on it this spring.
