22-243 middlested info

Yesterday I was asking for information on the 22 Cheetah and have had my mind changed on that cartridge. These forums really are very informative. Now, I'm asking for feedback on the 22-243 Middlested. That seems like a much more user friendly round. Cases needed for the 22 Cheetah just aren't available any more. So, can anyone help me with reloading data, experience or any info on this cartridge? Also am interested in any dies if anyone has a set they want to part with. Thanks everyone

Yeah me too! I was thinking about a .220 Weatherby Rocket but now I've settled on a 5.6x57 RWS which is a 7x57 neck to .224 with a long neck ala .257 Roberts the better to grip 68-100 grain bullets for it's 1 in 9" twist.

I owned a .22-243 Middleston for a while, had a fit of insanity and traded it. It was tack driving accurate. It was a heavy barrelled Savage. The first itme my hunting buddiy saw it he asked where the wheels for it were. I think that the only difference between the cheetah was using Bench Rest Brass(small rifle primer). I shot BR and standard primered cases and could not see enough difference in accuracy to brag about. I have a good wife I would trade for that gun back, maybe even my old coon dog? Maybe
