so, want to build a slienced rifle for hunting...looking at a 22-250 with a legal silencer. What would you do?....is it the right caliber?...are should I be looking at something else? I am currently looking at a Begara 22-250

It would depend entirely on what I intended to hunt. The 22-250 is a whiz bang cartridge in the speed department but it depends on a long barrel to get it. Hanging a silencer on the end of one is going to make for a heavy and clumsy firearm. Unless I was going to be shooting small to medium sized critters off a good rest at long ranges I would look at another option. Barrels have a rather short life also so take that into consideration. My opinion is worth exactly what it cost you.

What are you hunting with the 22-250? I've had a few 22-250's and still have one Tikka T3. They have all shot pretty damn good for me, using 55gr bullets and H380 powder. If bigger game is on the menu, Tikka makes or used to make a T3 with an 8" twist barrel, which would be handy for heavier bullets.

Hunting what exactly?
22-250 is a fine Varmint cartridge and with a fast twist could be pressed into deer service.
For myself I've really never bought that I needed more than a 5.56 for varmints.
As to suppressing a 22/250 you're not gonna get super quiet most 5.56 cans will work you'll need to check ratings.
If you have other IE 30 caliber rifles I'd suggest just getting a 30 cal suppressor.
I use my Gemtech ONE on both a 16" 5.56 and a 20" 224 Valkyrie.

Bergara is running a 9 twist, last I checked, so you should have no problems running whatever pills you want, as for a suppressor? What's your intended use? (What are you hunting?) As far as the earlier comment about the barrel length... our 22" runs about 40 fps slower than book 24" numbers, not that big of a deal. Been using benchmark fairly religiously, gonna start experimenting with ramshot thanks to the price hikes.
