My $.02...

Bulk: Federal Automatch

Otherwise: CCI Mini-mags, Winchester Super-X, Aguila Super Extra

For cheap plinking the most consistent I have found is Blazer. I have 21 guns chambered in .22 so I rarely do any true testing to see what shoots straightest. What I do remember is what ammo will not fire dependably. These are the guns that I have done some tests on with different ammo for reliability but NOT for accuracy.
Phoenix Arms HP22- Blazer fires 100% of the time so far though it probably has about 1000 rounds only. Does NOT shoot sub-sonic well nor is it designed to do so. Marginal reliability with Remington bulk and slightly better with WWB.
Ruger MkII- Blazers are the best bulk I have tried. It shoots 100% with Aguila sub-sonic as well and generally fires anything I feed it.
Browning Buckmark- Prefers Stingers and is 100% reliable with them. I broke this pistol down a couple of weeks ago because it was not cycling well with bulk ammo and it seemed to do the trick. I have fired a few mags of Blazer over the past two weeks and it has been 100%. Golden bullets have also been 100% since the thorough cleaning.
Revolver of unknown age and manufacture. This one came from my grandfather and is probably 100 years old. It is completely clean and must have been "repaired" sometime before I got it and that was in 1978-79. It will reliably cycle any short ammo. I have done extensive field tests with this one and can tell you that no matter what the ammo it will not reliably shoot MOTC (Minute of Tin Can) at 10 feet. I can stand at 10 feet and fire at a paper target and the "pattern" is about 6". This one is an heirloom with absolutely no value other than sentimental.

My son and I did a test several months ago using my Marlin 39A. We had 5 or 6 different brands of ammo sitting around the house so we shot them all from a bench rest. These were not the high dollar rounds that some of you are talking about. Up till now, we had been shooting a lot of Federal 550 bulk.
After shooting the Federal 550, the Remington Golden, the Winchester 333, the Federal Champion 510 and the Federal Auto Match, we found that the Auto Match was the most accurate.
Since the Federal 550 went from $15.47 to $19.95 at Walmart, the difference in price is not that much.
Unfortunately, every Walmart I've stopped in the last month has been out of the Auto Match. Maybe the word is out.

Federal .22's cycle great in all my 22/45's (MKI and MKII) if you can find Federal boxes. Blazer even runs great and is pretty accurate.

My Buck Mark URX loves the Blazer ammo. The second choice would be Federal Champion. Tried several other brandsbut didn't get the accuracy I wanted.

For hunting I use CCI mini-mags. For target shooting/plinking I use the federal bulk box
