.22 for squirrel

I have hunted tree rats for a long time and have had good luck with a 10/22 ruger LR solid or hollow point. Does not matter. What the gun likes to shoot does. If it likes hollow points shoot hollow points. Mine perfers Remington thunder bolts.

I usually use whatever "promo" hollow point load shoots the best in the rifle at the time.

Currently, the rifle is a CZ-452 American, that actually shoots the Winchester Xpert'S very well (5/8-3/4" at 50yds).

My 3-1/2yr old "Fiest" prefers me to use Federal Champion standard velocity round nose, as the squirrels aren't quite dead when they hit the ground and she gets the "shake" the rest of the life out of them, and still dosen't get "bit" in the process.

When I don't quite hold up my end of the bargain, and she does get bit; After the "fray", she gives me a dirty look saying........ "I know you can shoot better than THAT !!!"
