I agree, but it's out of his budget.Look at the Browning 1911-22 A1:

I have the Browning and at least 6 Ruger 22s: Single Sixes, 22/45s, Target MKIII, SR-22.
The Browning is my favorite of all of those. Love that little gun. Unlike other 1911-22s, the slide is not pot metal - it is aircraft grade aluminum.
Still love my Rugers but the Browning is the most fun!
Yeah that. I have a MKII and a Buck Mark, but I love my Thunder too. Slightly less accurate than those others, perhaps, but it's not meant as a target gun.Heres another one to consider thats very well made, and relatively cheap to purchase... Bersa Thunder 22.
What semi auto handguns do.you own now?
Amen.Ruger Single, MK, or Browning Buckmark...Forget the rest.
I have read nice reviews of it but have no first hand experience. Had I not picked up a Taurus 94 of late, I might have gone that direction (still might ).I know this is an old thread, but I'm probably going to make a decision soon. It seems that people really like the Browning Buckmark. Also, on the revolver front, what does anyone think of the Rossi R98?
