I'm thinking of adding a laser sight onto my 10/22 (I half tacticalized it a few years back before I learned the value of having a solid wood and steel gun, and I figure I might as well go all the way and have some fun)

I've found a weaver rail 2 pack at tapco that screws into the stock and I figure I'll hang a vertical foregrip and a laser sight on there for grins.

I'm looking for a laser sight and mount that can be adjusted to the point of impact. In other words, I want to be able to actually aim with it so I'll need to be able to make windage and elevation adjustments.

I'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money, but I still want something that will work. I baby my guns, so I can sacrafice on the durability of the thing if need be.

Any suggestions?

I don't remember the exact movel or brand, but I bought the laser at wally world and put it on my Walther p99 pellet pistol and was able to zero it in. I could hit things about an inch big at 50 feet or so.

i got one from walmart as well. it was $18 and it comes with a airgun/22 weaver adapter. its pretty good.

Buy a BSA sight - its the cheapest one I'd buy. It is used for airguns, but it is also made to work on 22s. So, it will hold the zero - that one for the airgun at Wal-Mart is made only for airguns. It may or may not hold the zero after a while on a real firearm.

I have a BSA laser on my PS90 carbine. Its $29.99.

I wrote a mini review of it here:

mine holds zero pretty damn well. better than i thought it would. i shot a little over a brick through it when it was on and it stayed true. but ive replaced it with a red dot.

I just need some clarification here, as I have had trouble with the different mounts before.

The Wal-mart and BSA dots mount on Weaver/picatinny rails such as the ones common on AR-15's?

I only ask because I've never seen a weaver rail on a .22 or airgun, just the 3/8" dovetail ones.

Thanks.

Rugerdude, the BSA will fit on those rails. My PS90 has a rail of the same dimensions. It fits fine. The BSA comes w/ 2 different mounts - one for airguns and one for standard rails.

The Wal-Mart airgun model only has 1 mount. I looked at it at the store, but since it said it was specifically for airguns, I avoided it, as the BSA is only $10 more.

U can buy them all over the net, or at Gander Mountain and Bass Pro Shops. I found mine in the air gun section, but I had read online that it is made for 22 cal rifles.

Academy used to carry them, but now they sell the BSA laser that's attached to a BSA scope directly.
