As of Friday October 24, 2003, the new Hardcast lead 220gr bullets will be available from DoubleTap. I had previously thought that 1180fps was going to be the ticket, but after 1,900rds using different loads for accuracy a slightly slower load prevailed. Out of 6 different 10mm's including: 2- G20's, G20C, Kimber, G29, and a SW 610 this load is much more accurate than the full throttle load. It develops 618ft/lbs out of a stock G20, and with a B.C. of .221, it keeps its velocity extremely well!
G29 - 1069fps
610 4" - 1103fps
G20 - 1128fps @100yds - 1018fps for over 500ft/lbs!
6"KKM - 1240fps

This may be dumb, but I assume that this load could be a problem in factory Glock barrels due to the leading of the rifling, right? Or is the hard cast part enough to alleviate it?

Curious on this, but quite intrigued.

The polymer coating has kept my Glock bbls feom leading at all, even throught the torture testing. My G20C (comped) did not lokr them because the polymer coat would "shear" off at the ports, leaving the air a little smokey.

Sounds pretty awesome. What was that old cartridge called that people used to like - the one that is a pea-shooter by comparison? Oh yeah, the .357 mag, I remember... ;)
