I bought a Savage M12 BVSS in 223 and would like some advice on some factory ammo that might shoot good groups at the range. I know reloads would be better but I don't want to get into rifle reloading right now. I already reload for handgun. Don

Most any premium ammo will get you at 1.0 moa or below but to really find the true potential of your 12 you must reload, mine will shoot less then .500 and some groups of .250 using reloads if I do my part..

I'm not sure what the twist rate of the Model 12 is but here are a few of my favorites
-1:12 try Black Hills 52gr MHP (this is also very accurate in my 1:9 AR),
-1:9 I like Black Hills or FGMM 69gr SMK,
-1:8 or 1:7 I like Prvi 75gr MHP and Black Hills or FGMM 77gr OTM.

My model 10 had a 1:9 twist, it shot the 69 gr MK like nothing you ever saw. Unfortunately this was the only bullet it would shoot well. Eventually I sold the rifle and bought something else. I tried 50 gr and 55 gr with no luck, best I could do was about 1". The 69 gr would easily do .3".

blue box black hills in the 55 grn. v max. not as cheep as it used to be but plenty good enough for everything but benchrest competition which i find tedious anyway.
