Has anyone here ordered .223 lake city brass from GIBrass? Were you satisfied and how was the quality of the product?

I've searched and found people who ordered his surplus powder and bullets and were pleased, but I'd like some feedback regarding his surplus brass.

GIBRASS is a reliable business to deal with. His info on the projectiles or cases is detailed and accurately describes the product. The latest ad is for M16 and with SAWs fired cases mixed in. If it says M16 and SAW fired brass then it is just that. The M16 fired brass is great but the SAW fired brass is a little more ragged with a lot of bent rims and raised marks on the case head. You'd have to file smooth any bent rims etc before sizing. Just to let you know the SAW brass is serviceable and sound but does require more prep work. Also, I'm guessing, but your order could contain a higher percentage of SAW brass than mine since they would be from bulk and mixed a little differently in the pile. Buy if you don't mind SAW fired brass mixed in and don't if you expect every case to be perfect and ready to to size and load. Trying to give an honest rating here.

I've bought a lot of powder from Jeff Bartlet, been VERY satisfied with it over the last five years.

I just recently bought some of his .223 like rg1 got. I elected to get mine un-processed, as I like to know what was done to it, so I want to do it myself. I got about 50 shells so mangled they could not be sized or even deprimed. looked like they'd been run over by a truck. A few had obviously been out in the weather for over a year, dark chocolate brown. But it was ALL lc brass, from the last ten years, mixed dates. The saw brass all has a crease in the side from the violent ejection. It does iron out upon firing. I have 900 good cases from the 1k I ordered.

Get yours processed with the primer crimp removed, you won't get the bad ones I got.
