I default to the minimum recommended trim length of 1.750 & have never used any shorter than that.

i have a dillon 550...........sometimes when it goes into station 2 the brass hits the powder funnel and dings the bottle neck ...i trim to 1.755 ...........so just wondering if i can use it some other times ...thanks

I Trim My Brass 1.750 To 1.755 Max Is 1.760 Thats From Hordady Overall Case Length When Done Is Very Important I Dont Think 5 Thousandths Below 1.750 Is Critical As Long As You Have Enough Crimp On Your Bullet And Can Still Maintain Overall Length But Thats My Theory.
