Today I got some over pressure signs in the AR15.
You can see the extractor has almost pulled off some of the rim, the case head has expanded into the ejector slot, and the body has nearly separated from the case head.

This was with 18 gr Blue Dot, 33 gr Vmax moly, 2.170", and generally gets 4025 fps in a 26" #1, but every fouth or fifth one will get 4125 fps and horrible pressure sign. The normal ones had no extractor groove growth, but the bad ones had .005 to .010" growth.

Accuracy in both rifles was ~ 1.4 moa

QUOTE: My favorite combo is WW brass, N133, and Fed 205 primers launching a 50gr Vmax! Awesome!

Try that powder with 40 grain Vmaxs, I have seen in excess of 4000FPS with NO pressure signs, of course work up carefully.

I am getting my best .223 accuracy when the wind velocity is zero.

I go to accuweather.com and enter the zip code of the range.
Then I click on "hourly" and see the wind prediction.
I stop off at the range on the way home from work when the wind is down to 3 mph.

Usually the low wind is in the morning, but the closest range to me does not open until noon.
