223 Powder choice

Can you post your results?

I’m in the process of doing a large run of pistol bullets. But when I’m done, I’m moving on to .223 and those are the powders I bought.

Last fall after powder began to become less available I bought a pound of Hodgdon BL-C(2) for my 223's.
Never had used that powder before and after using it decided that not using it had been a mistake on my part. Produced great groups.

Guess so. IMR 8208XBR is my go-to powder for accuracy in the 223 at present.

Now that we have resolution to your TAC vs 2230 question, if you see any H-335, give that a try as well. It’s my go to for .223 AR’s.

FWIW, .223 has several choices in powder/bullet combinations that work so you have plenty of options to find the combo your rifle loves.

I've been using H335 in my AR's since I've been loading 5.56mm... it's always worked pretty well. I'm really curious about TAC, however; it probably meters as well as H335, being a ball powder, but I'm wondering if TAC might work better in my blasting loads in 7.62mm... where I currently use IMR3031 or IMR4895, which don't necessarily meter that great. I've found H335 to not be the best choice in .308/7.62mm... or even the M1 Garand .30-06, but I would love to have a single powder to load them all.
