223 Rem, 55 gr and H355, lets beat this again!

I've used 24.2gr for thousands of loads. That one load in the Hornady manual has always puzzled me, being so low. I use their 55gr and 150gr FMJBT bullets almost exclusively (my range is only 100 yds) and for the other calibers that I load (300 BLK, 7.5x55 Swiss and .30-06 Garand), my loads are right in the ranges that Hornady gives so I've never been able to figure it out.
 
My gun really seems to like 25.2gr H335 under a 55gr FMJ. Today I was getting hit after hit after hit on a spinner at 100yds and my friend said "Man! You've got that really dialed in!"

The above Army tech sheet lists rifle cartridge chamber pressure erroneously in psi. Mentally convert them to cup (copper units of pressure).

The Army has something incorrect??:eek:

I do not have the mental capacity to convert psi to cup as there is no direct conversion.:D

New member here...how y'all doing. Been lurking for some time and decided to take the plunge.

I noticed the same issue as the OP.
Some time ago, I started averaging the max load. I'll pick at least 3 data sources (one if which will always be the powder mfg). I try to use Lyman also. (H/T - Optimized Charge Weight)
 
Rule3, I agree. SAAMI shows 55KPI.

I would find it hard to believe that such an obvious mistake confusing CUP with PSI would make it into an army TM and not get corrected almost immediately.
 
Im shooting my Hornady 55gr FMJBTs with 25.2gr H335, CCI 400 primers, loaded to cannelure. Shoots about 3/4" from my rifle at 100 yards in a 5 shot group. Barrel is a 18" Green Mountain 1:8 twist.
