No.
The majority of educated people buying firearms have some idea of what they want it for, and buy accordingly. I have rifles from .22lr to .458 Win Mag, AR's in .223 to .50 Beowulf, and other semi auto carbines and rifles in 9mm, .45 ACP, .308, 30-06 and 8x57. Everything purchased for a specific reason, and they all do a good job at their assigned task.
If you think it's to winpy for your chosen task then sell it, there may never be a better time. What if the next AWB makes it illegal to sell or transfer the selected wespons? It's value may go to 0 since it would be non-transferable.
