Hello everyone,
my name is Dan Rickard, and i'm the Owner of a new company called "Kaine Dies"

I started this company a few months ago because so many people liked my die sets, that it became obvious that I should operate under a real business.

I started making dies several years ago, and have learned much about making swage dies. I’ve made some bad dies and good dies.. The best of them became my first product. I have several other products about to hit the market as well.

Currently, I’m in full production making 224 swage die sets that produce a #6 ogive, the bullets that can be made range from weights of 45 grains to 75 grains. The types that this die set can make are hollow points, soft points, as we as Full metal jackets.

The die sets include the following,
a 22 rimfire de-rimming die, a core swage die, a core seating die, a point form die #6 ogive, and a final sizing die. The kit comes with all of the punches needed to use the dies, a quantity of swage lube to swage over 1,000 projectiles, and full instructions. The instructions are simple to read, and are very basic. There are only 5 steps to make your own projectiles.

The dies are heat treated to 54 RC, this is carbide level hardening, but NOT so hard that they will break, and hard enough to last a lifetime of swaging. The die set is designed to work with NORMAL reloading presses such as RCBS or LEE.

All dies a tested and verified to work, sample bullets are included with the die sets. The samples where made with the die set during testing and tuning.

Here are some pictures of the die set and some sample bullets.

The retail cost of a complete set is $300 + $20 shipping and handling and $26.60 Washington state tax.

Here is a price break down of each piece.
derim die $45.00
derim punch $10.00
core swage die $45.00
core swage top punch $5.00
core seating die $45.00
core seat top punch $5.00
swage die $90.00
swage top punch $5.00
swage bottom punch $10.00
sizing die $45.00

total $305.00

From experience, I am fully aware of competitor waiting times, so I’ve gone to great lengths to keeping delivery times to a bare minimum of 3-6 weeks.. Delivery may also be much sooner, as we are continually producing die sets to try and build up an inventory.

If you are interested in a set of dies, feel free to contact me directly via email or pm here..

Thank you,
Dan Rickard

Those are some good looking tools that make good looking projectiles. It would be easier to see the quality tho if the pictures were take in good lighting without the glare. I know I'm picky.

I can't find much information on your tools or company on the net. There is a thread over at cast bullets that seems to be going well but there is a Youtube that doesn't look so well but it doesn't look like he knows what he is doing.

Just a suggestion but since you are the creator & probably the master of these dies maybe you could make a Youtube video as a how to or presentation.

Get something good out before someone that doesn't know how to us them trashes your reputation.

I sent a Pm and was answered and I tried to respond to that PM and it says that he has declined the option to PM. whats goin on with that?

pm not working? oddd.. maybe i did something in the options.. let me fix it. sorry about that.

How's the accuracy?
accuracy isant bad.. we have a couple of test shoots over at castboolits. though the 75 grain test bullets where not the best, and so accuracy suffered.. the 55's where done at 100 yards, and they got some pretty good groups.

i also did a 50 yard test of them before we went to 100 yards, and got some good groupings.

keep in mind, these where done with base loads with no load refinement.. so the groupings are very raw.. we are waiting for some customers to refine some loads and respond back just how well they do..

Dan, do you have a website? I wasn't able to find it if you do. I buy 98% or better of my loading stuff online and I betcha I ain't the only one. (hint hint)

I wish you great success in Kaine Dies!

i dont yet.. comming soon though.
i know what you mean.. i know many people who do.

in any case, making a purchase now is just the same as buying via web page.
i take payment via paypal, and i'm a registered company with Washington State, as well as Federally licienced to operate a business. so your money is protected. if i dont deliver, you can have paypal take the money back. FDIC insured and all.

i do offer a full money back garantee. if your not happy with them in any way, just let me know, i'll be happy to make a refund of the purchase price of the dies plus tax once the dies are shipped back to me. shipping and handling i'm unable to refund. which is FAR more that what any of my competitors do.

also, if a die breaks or cracks, i'll replace it for free, and if you break a punch, those can be replaced cheaply.

thanks,
Dan Rickard

Mr. Rickard,

Thank you for explaining the swaging process in plain english. Going to one of your competitors websites (you already know who I am talking about without mentioning a name) requires a BS in Engineering and owning a machine shop to understand the swaging process, which the website makes about 1000% more complicated than it actually is.

If I decide to add bullet swaging dies to my reloading die collection, I will call you first.

Thanks again,
LeonCarr

i know what you mean..
after much work, trial and error, i was able to figure out that 99% of the stuff in the books is nothing but marketing propaganda to prevent others from making their own dies.

its really not as hard as they make it out to be..

thank you,
Dan
