My wife has decided she wants a different 22lr rifle.

With that in mind, we are looking to sell our current rifle- a Marlin 980s.

This is one of the rifles from the North Haven rifleworks, not the new Marlin show,

Its in great condition, and has less than 2k rounds through it.

Anybody care to help me price this piece ?

Locally around NE Ohio I am seeing them anywhere in the $225 to $275 range slightly used. Some wood and some synthetic and some scoped and some not. You may want to check pricing in your area or any of the online auction sites to get a rough idea. They are a nice little .22 bolt action rifle.

Out here in 95% condition, under $200.00. If I were you I'd hold on to it, I've got one and love it, as far as accuracy goes, you won't find a better bolt .22 any where out there.

I can't see selling a gun you enjoy shooting. If you have a change of heart it's not like you can stroll into a pawn shop and find a good marlin every day. A pawnbroker is going to offer the owner $25 for a Marlin 22. He can sell it to someone he knows in a hurry for $150.
