I think that I have found a good load for my .243.

85gr Sierra Spitzer over 36.5gr of RL15. The first pic is at 100yrds and the 2 one is at 200.

One thing that I am having a difficult time with is I can not get my 75gr Hornady V-MAX to shoot the same way. They just do not group very well. Anyone have any experience with them in the .243??

Both pics are of 5 shot groups.

I'd be happy with both of those groups. I shoot the 75 grain Hornady's. I use IMR 4064 with excellent results.

What loads are you using with the 75gr V-Max?
One cannot fault your 85gr Sierra load, except to say it appears to be very mild @ 36.5gr of Rel 15.

That is some nice tight shooting in my book, I would not mess with that too much if it is giving you the speed you need. What rifle is that?
Cannot comment too much on the 75gr but according to Hornady 4831, H4350, and W760 can get you the best speed, around 3,400fps at max charge.
Nosler lists Varget as the most accurate with their 70gr BT and H380 as the most accurate with their 80gr so if you are trying for max accuracy that would be where I would start their pet loads have always worked very well for me in at leased one bullet weight in each of my five rifles.

It is a Remington 700 SPS Varmint with the 26" heavy barrel.

I will look again in my book but Im sure that it had 36.5 at the top end for RL15. I'm happy with the Spitzer grouping but I have 700rds of 75gr VMAX I would like to load and get the same results.:(

I have tried IMR-4350 for my 243s but I like the results of H-4895 much better, in 243 I use the 85, 95 and 105 Hornady bullets. For 223 I use the 75 grain V-max also with H-4895 and get great results.
