I was allways of the understanding, that the ruger #1's, could have an accuracy problem, and that something special was required to do to the forearm, or under the bbl, to get them to be more accurate. Can anyone elaborate for us?
 
I thought this picture was lost because the camera was very low on battery power but I figured out how to get it off of the card. I could see it on the camera but the card was a little corrupted and the order of the pictures was not normal.

So here is my first ever antelope, taken at 225 yards with an 85 grain nosler from my .243 project rifle!! Slight quartering away, perfect double lung and tipped the heart shot. Broke two ribs on the way in and the way out and that was it for meat damage. I had it skinned and quartered and on ice within an hour of shooting it. I took the hide to a tannery and they tanned it fur on for $42.00. I just picked up the hide from the tannery last weekend.

I got this in September on a pristine ranch about 50 miles east of Castle Rock. The meat is excellent, tastes like mild beef.

I hunted the ranch for three days. Had one other shot on the second day but just could not get clear of the brush so I had to pass. I did the spot and stalk, got laughed at by some wiley antelope and finally got a perfect shot at this one.
